Digital marketing agency Growthbuster reached out about creating a set of video and photo content for their client Coconut Bliss. Coconut Bliss are the makers of a delicious line of plant-based ice cream, and were not only undergoing a complete rebrand but also launching a new DIY soft serve product and maker.
The product would first launch for Black Friday of 2020 to give consumers a new and novel way to make vegan ice cream at home - particularly relevant during lockdowns and social distancing.
I built a treatment based around a few important creative considerations:
Working from my home "studio" for a couple of weeks, I captured about 160 final images and several different formats of video, both promotional and instructional. My goal was to give the Coconut Bliss team maximum flexibility as they built their new website and created and tested different digital ads across their social channels.
Keeping production lean meant I was able to move fast, fire off both video and photography for various scenes, style the product exactly as I needed, and maintain a safe environment for our talent. On the other hand it did mean my house was totally taken over by ice cream for a while...
